like boris johnson in the uk just hit an all time low with voters citing similar issues/conditions.

really this happens every economic downturn. with the pandemic being a new variable.
voters got trump out for pandemic/economy. now theyre gonna blast dems in the midterms for not acting fast enough in their eyes. it happened with obama in 2008/2010. big win in 08 running against the incumbent party during the great recession. then voters in 2010 pretty much robbed him/dems of most of their power in congress and states 2 years later.
people are really impatient and dont have time/energy to comprehend the realities of dealing with widescale crises. so they hand power back quickly to the party that got us in the mess in the first place. its really dumb but its how things work.
