Usually ~$4 per gallon. Which is still nuts -- but a ~25% increase is even crazier than usual.

Bay area is higher than what's shown here but the statewide 2021 number is higher than the 2019 number. I think you have to disregard the 2020 number, IIRC there were some weird things happening in the oil market and price / barrel went negative for a while.
