Here he's talking about LANGUAGE. He never says "cripples seem weird to me" and he didn't spend segments on 5 different show on cripples, or lookism, or saying that "slow" children are weird.

He was MUCH kinder than Dave is being.


Remember there are 3 version of older Carlin on stage.
1)George Carlin - The real man - who was a little cranky about language, but over-all warm.
2)"George Carlin" - The crank character who ranted and was a little meaner.
3)Depressed George Carlin - After his wife died Georg 1 and 2 combined, with #2 taking over the dominant personality and jettisoning the warmth almost entirely.

For me Carlin lost a BIG STEP and a lot of his humanity after his wife died, and by the mid 2000s he was PURE nihilist on stage.

But in ALL of it I didn't see him as targeting a group as relentless as Dave has --especially one that was not a the status quo/in charge.
