He is but a few years older than me. So yes… I expect him to be wise enough to be better. And really… what the letters mean is hardly the point and you know it.

But more importantly, it’s not that I don’t expect him, or anyone, to have blind spots. It’s that his level of genius — for me — means that I expect him to be better about acknowledging and navigating those blind spots without shitting on people. Maybe an unfair expectation, but it is how I feel.

I’m disappointed that he refuses to acknowledge them, and even more disappointed that he’s throwing his toys at the expense of these communities.
