That was in Russia!
His lyrical style is too raw, and its a battle style of of rap, which will keep the heads nodding. He doesn't have a boring rhyme form, and KRS' rhyme form is similar because he comes from the same era.
His style of rhyming comes from battling and getting the crowd hype.
Kool Moe Dee LL Cool J ( early LL) KRS One BDK Chubb Rock
*They all had similar "prepare for battle" rhyme forms*
The only problem he could run into are people in the audience not being familiar with his music, since he had a shorter hip hop life span than KRS One. However, from his recent performances overseas, he can move a crowd that consists of divergent hip hip generations. But the hip hop overseas is still in tune with real hip hop music, so they want to hear authentic lyricism and boom bap beats, regardless of the different age groups. I would imagine that, considering the artists who are performing, the majority of the versus crowd will be real hip hip listeners who know and understand the history of hip hop.
