And I don’t want to be the arbiter of what people should or shouldn’t say. It’s OBVIOUSLY stupid and he deserves blowback at minimum.

But it’s hard to ignore how much homophobia and misogyny are in hip hop as a whole. Granted, most is from forever ago…but culturally it’s had issues with acceptance. I dunno how old this dude is, but he is clearly young and stupid. I’m hoping it’s a learning experience especially given the artists he’s worked with.

Ultimately…”cancellations” are sorta bullshit. Chris Brown is still working. Support the dude or don’t but this seems to be his first brush with controversy so let’s see how he handles it.
