13437591, barber shop was full of bammas
Posted by rdhull, Mon Jul-19-21 10:55 PM
Casually came up with vaccine talk and the four folks there (early af as I work weekends early) had not gotten the vaccine and basically had no plans to.

1st dude, my barber whos been cutting me for close to 30 years said getting it was a way for 'them' to lead to taking 'the chip' later on aka antichrist shit

2. Other barber said he wanted something they given away before he even imagines getting it..like being paid etc like what you see happening here and there, prizes etc

3rd dude was on one (he's why I questioned if they were vaccinated). Oppositional af about it, his wf n kids got it but he steadfast is against or and 'might' get it but is waiting to see the effects of the shot blah blah blah...(this dude watches Fox sometimes to get ALL information about things ..I threw up in my mouth and said as much etc)

4th dude was younger cat but quiet af until I asked him and he hasn't gotten it yet and says he is on a both sides have good points

I was an hr late to work 'debating' this shit with them...I was low key heartbroken..mostly shocked I mean...bammas lol
13437593, My country cousins been on the “last days” shit for a while now.
Posted by JFrost1117, Mon Jul-19-21 10:30 PM
The same cousins I said in the “Trump supporter” thread that said the Bible said we should respect our leaders. They thought Hank Aaron and DMX dying were key “I told you so!” points.

I've been cutting my own hair for like 2 decades now, so I don't normally have to pay attention to this shit.

But I took my nephew to get a cut and it felt like niggas took that shutdown underground surge pricing and just kept it going forward.

Niggas charging phone bill family plan rates out here.

these niggas aren’t the best and brightest

I’m pretty sure Black barbershops lose their license if more than 25% of the barbers are vaccinated. Its amazing how smart dumb people are once they get inside a barber shop.

Shit is scary.

My barber acted like I was an alien when I told him I got vaccinated. He’s young but so many of these barbers are self appointed hood scholars.

The regularly loud and wrong folks are special humans. Too bad those folks are all over the place now and getting to be in more important places all the time (prior POTUS for instance). At barbershops, it was at least mildly entertaining to be in someone's world temporarily and marvel at silly stuff folks say and the amazingly weak logic behind. 'Patrick Ewing was way better than Hakeem, now (you gotta have the 'now' in there). New York City is a big town, now! You been to NYC!? Tha Garden!? Shiiiiiiiid!!' or something like that.
13437704, yep, talkin about certain stuff is cool to hear.
Posted by tariqhu, Tue Jul-20-21 06:16 PM
my old barber was good about keeping convos. mostly about sports and women lol.

at times, he was on some woke stuff, but I was young. a lot of it was new to me, but interesting.

that dude also learned Spanish on his own. I like getting cut from him, but as I got older, I just didn't have time to be in the seat for an hour after waiting hours already. then I went bald. so it worked out lol

No women to stunt for.

13438195, well mr rdhull lemme give u alil more insight..
Posted by mikediggz, Tue Jul-27-21 08:03 AM
long story short, before i got into the field of IT once upon a time i had a career working in big pharma (appx 15 years). step further, the dept i worked in was called regulatory affairs, which deals in getting new drugs approved by the FDA...so lets say im very familiar with how this process usually runs.

it normally takes between 5-10 years for a new drug to go from conception to the shelf. there are several stages of testing and back and forth correspondence with the FDA throughout the process. they approve a stage, you get to move fwd.

if something pops up 2, 5, 7 years in that needs to be caught, they catch it. guess what? i respect the "science" as u label it, completely. but what i dont assume? is that they know whats gonna happen down the road. there is no way for them to be able to predict what side effects are gonna come from this vaccine...and they all have side effects. so yes, knowing what i know, i was alil reluctant, but guess what? i took the shit, and im ok with the fact that i took it.

but i stand by my initial hesitations because they were rooted in first hand knowledge and up close experience. might be some bammas in the bldg but not in this room...no disrespect to the bammas

Posted by mikediggz, Tue Jul-27-21 04:30 PM
at first...but after getting it i had this immediate sense of satisfaction in knowing that i did my part...i was and am glad that i did it. and now we are seeing that as this thing moves fwd a major component surrounds unvaccinated folks.
