It didn't love the knobby tires and there was way too much rolling resistance. So I got a set of 26" slicks for it and it went hard. At that point it was just 1x7. Then I realized I had a TON of clearance and got 700s for it. I was originally using a mountain shifter on the right hand drops. Found a good 9 speed STI lever, and so after I was running *THAT* 7 speed for a while I did a trick I learned from Spindatt, since my freehub body is 7/8 speed - I got a 10 speed cassette and deleted one cog to make it 9 speed. It's a fun build.
