I was so confused how did I get a handwritten letter from this person a month earlier that included words like "awesome" and "excellent" and then needed corrective action!?

To make matters worse, she scheduled an offsite lunch for the day before my birthday (I was off on my actual birthday) so I went to this lunch thinking it was a celebration (we always celebrated birthdays at this job) and we had a pleasant conversation. Once the plates had been cleared and the check was on the way she pulled this out her purse.

Yeah... I left that job...
