I see it as largely benign. There's just no aesthetic appeal for me, but that's about the beginning and of my issues with it.

I'm curious about this. I don't see/feel "energy" apart from the hysteria that generally results from. The only demonstrable power I can see from it, is an ability to make people clutch pearls.

So from my standpoint, that chaotic energy is just the reaction of the people themselves, not a product of the imagery.
