I think we need to regroup lol. As a Black-identifying White supremacist we know she despises Black women nearly as much as she despises Black men... so I get scared when folks here agree with her. On anything lol.

Re: the empowerment issue specifically, Damali really did say it best. You guys aren't really in a position to control or judge what some women feel is empowering; it's a personal determination. In fact even I, as a woman, shouldn't really take away from what another woman finds empowering. Everyone has different stories and personal challenges/vulnerabilities to overcome.

I really do think it's critical to acknowledge how male-dominant and misogynist rap has a history of being, and still is, to understand the whole empowerment thing tho.
