So by the time there's downtime it's bed time.
And with COVID, no sitter, so you get one kid down for nap or bed time and the other one is up.
But my folks and my sister just got their shots on Thursday ... and finally a reprieve is on the way.

So she's waking up every hour and a half throughout the night and I'm waking up every 2 to 3 hours.
Pandemic wrecked everything normal. For the most part we've cooked every single night for the last year. Gotten a few breaks now that the kids are in day care, but that's 3 meals on the weekends.
Meanwhile when you're in the house this much everything needs that much more cleaning
Toilets, showers, laundry, vacuuming. And we've this all by ourselves.

Man and the other part of that is our kids be AWAKE. You don't know when you gonna get an uninterrupted 5 minutes let alone 15.

I started dishes 30 minutes ago. I'm just getting back to them.

Or grandparents. Sleep is the biggest component right now.
But also, we're just never alone. One of us always has at least one kid, and if the other has both kids we're doing something ... cooking, cleaning, bills, etc.

Like since started going back to work in Jan and the kids go to daycare, I still work from home, but that means that during the time I'm not working I clean. Yesterday I did laundry, today I'll clean the toilets.

It's trash, absolutely trash these past twelve months have been to the world.

meanwhile, during that 6 to 9 window is like ALL THE LEFT OVER TIME I HAVE BEFORE I BECOME A RAG OF HUMAN to do all other non-work, non-parent chore stuff.

if the trash doesnt get out then, the chance of me saying "fuck that trash shit cuh" goes up to 99.5%

if the bombed out kitchen and eating areas don't get cleaned the, the chance of me saying "fuck ALL of them dishes" goes up to 99.5%

it's like comparing listening to a CD of your favorite artist vs. going to the concert. OH the show will be amazing, but you gott buy the tickets, dress up, travel TO the place, stand in line, wait, wait some more, THEN you get the show, but then once it's all over, you have to everything in reverse - wait some more, stand in line to leave, travel home, dress down, etc.

Aka I don’t think I’m ever going to 100% stop. There’s been several times in my adult life where I fade away from it for months here and there or a year depending on what’s going on.

Now that I’m settled into married life, I find myself dabbling in general and going more into it if/when my wiz is out of town or whatever because I have the spare time and no one to luv..hehe.
