he aint Black!!! <<<< —— that was the main argument

Kweli knows tho.. we some haters on here
13426363, I agree, when he first came out his look and sound was totally different...

then he realized looking and sounding black without actually being black was more profitable
13426364, nah, that was always a terrible argument
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Mar-06-21 12:07 PM
13426374, cultural appropriation is not "a terrible argument" just uncomfortable...

There is no point in Bruno's career where he has not been influenced by Black Music...

His look has evolved with every album and sound he dabbles in.

But it's all black music.. even the "early little richard" look from the beginning.

Two dudes with strong solo careers coming together knowing their ish will be that much better working together.

Adam Levine is right, there aren't bands anymore. Its probably a good thing that an artist needs less help putting out music and its much easier to be a solo act but there is definitely something missing from today's scene with less bands than there use to be.

I trust these dudes and consider them 1 for 1 so far. If its just a Tuxedo album with them singing, I'll consider it a full-on success.

Self-aware and talented artists have a good chance to make lots of good music on-purpose. I'm here for it. And it is a win-win situation for both of em.

It's sad that being big/popular is still a curse and we've apparently learned NOTHING from how retroactively unwise it was for folks to get too cool for Prince and MJ. And of course, once they died, a bunch of folks turned into Sam Sneed and were sure to recognize. But whatever, Peter Hernandez seems to be doing fine for himself through it all. He shows up, delivers some goods, disappears for a while, then comes back with more jams. Sounds like a deal!

Until then, back to Roc Marciano. I need to find/figure out the samples on these last couple of Marciano albums. I REALLY wanna know how he got Richard Gere.
