I had ZERO interest in The Great but I watched 2 episodes on Hulu out of boredom one night. I'm hooked! The show is a funny, witty, dramatic, absurd, and soap opera-ish look at the rise and reign of Catherine the Great. The Great plays fast and loose with history, so if historical accuracy is your thing, this show might not be your cup of tea.

Also, just because of the time of year...but also because it's nice to have some uplift, my family and I have been looking for feel good, wholesome, family viewing. That's hard to do because all of our viewing tastes are pretty different!

I'm thinking of watching Orphan Black again and seeing if the family will watch it with me. They'll probably hate it, though. Some will think it's too dark and not wholesome enough, some will hate the sci-fi storyline, on and on. Oh well.
