13450891, I should say more about why this was good

Sort Of's story telling is sincere and heartwarming.

The main character, Sebi, is a first generation, Pakistani-Canadian, nonbinary, transfeminine (I think), Muslim that's a manny for a mixed race family, somewhere in Canada. There's a lot of depth to unpack. The show's creator, Bilal Baig, who also plays Sebi, manages to do a lot in 8 episodes. They've created something specific and special and good.

The show dishes out the typical "life your life and be yourself" fare, but the journey to get there is shaped by Sebi's family, culture, and set of experiences. And it's not super preachy. I liked getting to watch somebody telling a familiar type of story from a very different angle (different to me).
