great for story building when done right.

por ejemplo, my personal goat: harold melvin n co. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REdEUoLYBQw

for the longest i thought all the beggin he did was successful and there was a happy ending outside of the song, but teddy was tellin us otherwise. the interesting part for me is how teddy is singing for her while my man breaks the fourth wall and starts talking to her (whats the word for a musical fourth wall?).

but yea i know dude from boys to men gave us a talk break on a couple songs but I never believed him. they def wouldn’t have got rid of the nigga from I miss you.

- come go with me “mmm mmm, mmm mmm, no” lol yea aight
- cry together
- womack on a gang of shit.
- rev. green on a gang of shit. works for sexy gospel too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qgpg-FlgbSU
-by the time I get to phoenix was cold
-i like when Jill does it

the end of 'your still a young man' counts to a lesser extent (“just to get up next to you and…”) though that’s probably more of an extension of it, like ‘sing/talking’ or something. talking in a melodic manner. theres probably a term of art for that too. whatever it is anderson paak is great at it.
