Watching DC change over the last few days is impressive and scary. Friday morning you couldn't get within 5 blocks of the Capitol in any direction, as DC Police had blocked off all the streets and alleys. When I left work in DUpont Circle Friday evening, it looked like DC had a 5 star warrant on GTA5. Every intersection had either a military Hummer or transport vehicle with at least 3 camo'ed guardsmen with rifles drawn.
Really reminded me of The Siege all over again. Like, there was a huge, uncomfortable police/military presence for BLM back in June. This is different

just regular folks from the DMV who have regular 9-5 jobs. DC, MD, northern VA gave Biden a 50-90 point margin, depending on the county. this is all to say that these folks are pretty likely to be Democrats themselves.
