As much as I'd like to see Tommy Tuberville give a deposition, nothing would come of it. All you would get are a bunch of "I do not recall". There wouldn't be bombshell revelations.

The outcome of this thing was decided before it started. Nothing will change any votes. And I don't think it's likely witness will change public perception either.

But the cost would be high. It could tie the senate up for a long time. The clock is ticking on this majority. They need to confirm judges and pass legislation while they still can
