I'm at like a shower once every 3 or 4 days.

wash the holy trinity, brush the teeth, go.

WFH, chores, kids down after dinner, more cleaning, then game for a few hours.

everyday is wednesday.

before this, I did both, morning and evenings. I prefer evenings, but sometimes it is what it is.
13414140, mornings only. evenings if i worked up a sweat or im going out

13414142, wash off the day's funk at night

and after working out (which i don't do regularly)
13414143, Before covid it was both morning and nite.
Posted by Brew, Wed Nov-18-20 02:19 PM
Morning to get ready/wake up for work. Nite after my workout.

Now I only shower at nite because in the morning, I walk 10 feet from my bed to my desk to work now.
13414144, same, even down to the bed-to-desk distance

13414145, I wore overalls every day of April and into May
Posted by Walleye, Wed Nov-18-20 02:23 PM
I was teaching remotely, so that was my lone nod to civilization's shitty demand that I wear pants while I work.

But it meant that three showers a day was the best way to balance things out.
13414149, Gotdamn this sounds white af.. lol.

13414152, If the shoe fits .... (it absolutely fits)
Posted by Walleye, Wed Nov-18-20 03:02 PM
I ordered them before the lockdown started because I just wanted some overalls. Stuck in my house with nothing to do, the appeal of wearing pants that supported themselves on my shoulders just kept growing.

I guess the slightly more normal part of this story is that I'd been telling myself, and anybody dumb enough to listen to me, that my daily work schedule and commute was keeping me from working out as much as I want. That was probably just a rationalization, but it was one I'd used for so long, to so many people, that I felt like I needed to put my money where my mouth is and I actually started running again - a lot - during this work-from-home period.

The results were that I lost a bunch of weight but didn't quite trust it enough to buy new clothes, so the overalls were pretty helpful. And working out a lot meant showering a lot.
13414177, how would your job know though? (re: the pants while you work)

like aren't you just showing the chest up on Zoom too?

13414148, Morning unless I feel mad gross or have a busy morning
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Nov-18-20 02:44 PM
if I know my morning is going to be hectic I will shower the night before..

but generally, I like to shower before I get dressed.
13414155, When I was going into the office, every morning
Posted by Oak27, Wed Nov-18-20 03:16 PM
Nowadays it's usually afternoon or evening after my run if I go for one that day. Never more than one a day though.

Showers used to be half about cleaning myself, half about waking my ass up. Now that I don't have to commute to work and can sleep in later I don't need to worry about the latter.
13414156, Shower plus freshly cleaned sheets is a beautiful thing
Posted by makaveli, Wed Nov-18-20 03:23 PM
I do either or both, in COVID times I tend to shower later in the day but normal times always in the morning.
13414161, I cannot get in my bed dirty. unless I'm SICK sick
Posted by CherNic, Wed Nov-18-20 03:34 PM
13414168, crumbs make a good insulation tho'
Posted by double negative, Wed Nov-18-20 04:03 PM
booty crumbs that is...
13414179, yup

13414162, only in the morning but i will skip a day if i didn't leave the house

13414163, i somehow forgot that the pandemic changes things
Posted by mista k5, Wed Nov-18-20 03:44 PM
since ive been mostly still coming into the office ive stayed with the same routine, mornings. basically i like to shower right before i need to go somewhere. so weekends might be a bit later in the day.

i definitely need a shower to wake up during the weekdays. i cant imagine trying to go to work without showering first. i am considering doing both though, before bed and in the morning. the reasons for taking one before bed are quite logical.

if you take multiple showers in a day do you do a full outfit change each time?
13414164, people shower and get back in the same clothes?!
Posted by CherNic, Wed Nov-18-20 03:46 PM
what...why would this occur? like you didn't leave the house but feel gross and want to shower...but put the same clothes back on?
13414166, honestly i only know of one person who does lol
Posted by mista k5, Wed Nov-18-20 03:52 PM
link from rhett and link (youtube). it was quite bizarre to find this out but im curious if there are other people who do the same.

im sure after working out your changing that clothes. if you only shower once a day you have to be changing your clothes...right? but if youre someone that takes 3/4 showers a day and its not because you work out...who knows. im curious lol
13414167, Only thing I will put back on is PJ pants
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Nov-18-20 03:59 PM
but everything else has to be fresh and brand new.

How can anyone shower and put the same clothes back on? It’s prolly one of the reasons I didn’t work out and shower during work at lunch.

13414174, that just triggered a thought. my old manager used to do that
Posted by CherNic, Wed Nov-18-20 04:06 PM
workout at lunch and put the same clothes back on
13414178, morning shower because it wakes me up
Posted by Amritsar, Wed Nov-18-20 04:13 PM
and has me feeling ready to start the day

But I totally get the argument for night shower too and keeping your bed clean
13414188, Ideally, morning
Posted by sectachrome86, Wed Nov-18-20 04:36 PM
but sometimes I don't shower until noon or 3pm.
13414193, I still have to physically go to work, so both...
Posted by theScholar3000, Wed Nov-18-20 05:05 PM
I'm not fully woke until I'm clean, so morning showers is a must
and despite all the handwashing/sanitizing I do during the day
it just doesn't feel right to get in the bed when I been in the
street all day.

Come, I'll tear up all my poems
for just a little piece
of you...
13414214, I shower daily, at night.
Posted by tariqhu, Wed Nov-18-20 09:35 PM
it was said earlier, but I can't go to bed without it. I like showering, so I might be in there 25-30 minutes. gives me some chill time and I also cut my hair while I'm in.

morning showers don't work for me cuz I had to be quick, especially pre-covid. taking 2 kids to different schools and getting me to work at 8ish. and it lets me get a little more sleep.
13414215, A few quick rinses
Posted by bigkarma, Wed Nov-18-20 09:40 PM
I need a quick rinse off in the morning, just to get going. If I hit the gym mid-day, another quick rinse off. If I lather up, it's just the hot spots.

The mandatory shower is the evening one. That's the one with the soak, head shave and full lather.
13414247, pre-covid or post-covid?
Posted by ThaTruth, Thu Nov-19-20 09:53 AM
13414355, It varies greatly depending on my work day and workout schedule.
Posted by KiloMcG, Thu Nov-19-20 09:40 PM
Some days once, some days twice, some days none. It just depends.
