I think he is going to be a problem in 2024.
His style has ability to straddle a fine line with respect to Trump.
He is brash, direct, populist America First, "anti-establishment" politician that is deep in the culture wars. Just like Trump was.
But unlike Trump, he is not a clownish buffoon. He's well spoken and sharp. He's good at controlling the press.
He made a big bet with his Covid response and I think it's going to pay off big time for him.
My prediction: he is going to easily win re-election in 2022. And, assuming Trump doesn't run, he'll lock up the Republican nomination by around the third debate.
