I preordered it a few weeks ago and listened at about 2 am.

It wasn't what I expected, and idk if that's a good or uneventful thing.

I was kinda hoping to hear more of a... neo-jazz fusion bap soul type thang. Especially from hearing and loving the first "single", the "Les Jardins Esméraldins (Pour Caillard)" interlude.

But it's definitely Black Classical ass Spiritual Jazz and I'm keen to grow with it. It serves as that kind of album you put up when you want a certain vibe.


Also - copped Carlitta Durand's project!! Once This was a random discovery for me and I’ve never been happier 😭 lol. Phonte posted it because of his involvement with the album. So I was just gonna check out the song he was on, but I decided to listen to snippets of the whole thang and... yes. Been on repeat like 6 times already within 24 hours.
