and they just about always favor conservatives.

in australia...their liberal opposition party led in every single poll up to the election...and were a shoe in to win power in what many called an unloseable election. well...they suprisingly lost and people were criticizing the polling industry over there.

in the uk...corbyn and labor were supposed to run a competitive election against boris johnson and the conservatives/tories according to consistent polling. tories ended up winning in a historical landslide and pollsters came under fire over there.

in nz...their liberal female leader cakewalked to another term and expanded her partys power in the legislature. they asked what made the difference and she said rupert murdoch doesnt loom over their media like he does in other western democracies.

i think people vastly underestimate the power that fox news, facebook, etc have in influencing election results...particularly late down the stretch.
