The ‘nothing is good enough ever’ crowd helped kill BET long ago methinks. That and it WAS a limited channel. And if we’re being honest, if we understand for real how people work, one channel should never be enough to cover all of the bases for any race.

So I like the concept of there being a suite of black channels. I don’t like the concept that most of those channels seem to be very limited in what gets offered. Ie: VH1 being the ‘go here for manufactured drama from folks you kinda sorta know’ channel. The ‘if you loved Flava of Love, here’s 10 more shows kinda like it’ channel. Any channel that can make Cardi B famous as hell ain’t gonna be my shit.

What is the wanna be woke/upstanding black folks channel? Does it exist?
