i asked around, but not the people that posted it, what it meant and they said maybe their gender was fuild and would respond to both she and they.

Anyway, I got an email from the help desk of one of our vendors where the signature was "{vendor name} Help Desk," the help desk email address, the help desk 800 number and then "she/her/hers."

So ... the help desk has pronouns ...?

My assumption is the that the person answering my question has pronouns, not the help desk, but the person never signed a name - just "help desk," so why were the pronouns in there anyway?

The way I would look at it (personally, no shot at you) if I worked somewhere that required it, is that it takes no time at all and doesn't have any adverse impact on my life or day to day. So that being the case, if it's something that would make some of my co-workers, clients, colleagues @ other companies I communicate, etc. feel more comfortable and included I'd have no problem doing it. No harm no foul.

People who use "mixed" pronouns like that (She/They or He/They) are often people who grew up being called she or he and don't object to it, are used to it, but it's not entirely inline with the way they see themselves. Or they're in transition. They would like to at some point go by "they" but they're not there yet in their life for whatever reason. Sometimes it's easing friends and family into it, sometimes it's folks grappling with their identity.

This is what I've seen from the folks I know who use mixed pronouns.

That 2007 Cavs team was 5th in defensive rating that year and I think #1 during the playoffs. That team also won 10 out of 16 games without Lebron being the leading scorer.

Every other finals appearance he played with at least one other top 5 draft pick. Two of those teams Cavs redux and Heat he played with two on each team.

when a woman gets married or divorced and chooses to change their last name? By "process" I mean all the stuff and places where they will need to change their name legally and professionally.

Partially cuz I am always *uber* mindful of cars when I'm walking thru a parking lot (it's far easier for me to see them than them me, after all) and always give the car the right of way; and also partially because you said people "speed up" to walk behind a reversing vehicle, which just seems ridiculous to me haha. Like the mental picture I have of that scenario seems like something that I couldn't *possibly* be oblivious to.

The ‘nothing is good enough ever’ crowd helped kill BET long ago methinks. That and it WAS a limited channel. And if we’re being honest, if we understand for real how people work, one channel should never be enough to cover all of the bases for any race.

So I like the concept of there being a suite of black channels. I don’t like the concept that most of those channels seem to be very limited in what gets offered. We are at the point in our decline where too many folks view the concept of ‘power’ as the ability to deny things instead of the ability to give/help. So folks like Mitch are gonna keep on doing their thing. And the losers who love him and the like will keep on riding for them. Because they think ‘power’ is a villainous concept too.

And, for some reason, they’re super bothered by knowing a bunch of folks would buy PlayStations, Xboxes and big ass tvs with the money and still be broke/up against it even with 2k. But it doesn’t bother them that wealthy folks do the same shit at a different level with their tax cuts and bailouts. You know, keep/buy/spend money on big ass houses, paying off mistresses to be quiet for a while, boats/yachts, offshore accounts to evade hella US taxes, all of that.

As I said before, every time I can remember being pulling over the cop takes my licence, insurance, and registration (if requested) and walks back to their car. That is why I have never been keen on digital insurance cards. I don't want them taking my phone from my possession for any reason.

I ask because it is the only lab test I have ever taken where I am not the person who gets the results, and that seems weird.

I am about to take one soon and it made me think about the last one I took where I straight up asked the person what the results were. She twisted her neck up and me and her eyes got all big. I can't even remember what she said but I know it was snarky. The point of me asking wasn't because I was concerned that I might fail. I know I was negative, but they tested MY urine. It came out my body. I wanted to hear the test results.

I just googled it, and google says it is common for the lab to contact the employer with results if you are negative and the patient if positive. Why not both patient and employer if negative? In some states, when anyone runs a background check on you you get notified. Why not get information about the results of a urine tests?

You gotta read that consent form.
