I was responding to the lies in real time on my couch. They're so easy.

It seems like there's a robotic nature to both Kamala and Joe in these moments. Like they're checking boxes in their head before they respond. "Look at the camera. Address the people. Ignore the rhetoric. Ignore the interruptions. Don't lose focus."

It all comes off so unnatural. I understand not wanting to just get into a spitfire tit for tat so the general public doesn't view the debate as just one big argument. But there's a better balance to be achieved.
