trump said his financial info was a red line.
and instead of a light bulb going off in muellers head like 'thats prolly where the crimes are' (like most seasoned investigators)...mueller went 'ok...lets stay away from there and see if theres any wrongdoing somewhere that trump isnt nearly as defensive about'.
even andrew weissman (mueller deputy) said they were too timid in a lot of areas.
