On most weekends, on at least one out of Friday and Saturday, me, him and my daughter will camp out and go to sleep while watching movies.

At around 2 am, he starts screaming, "DADDY THERE'S A SPIDER ON YOUR BELLY!"

So I wake up, and slapped the shit out of my stomach, and started looking for the spider.

I look over, and he's hiding under a sheet, crying.

I'm thinking he's scared, so I tell him, it's ok papa, the spider's gone. Now his voice is cracking, so I'm thinking he's extra scared. I pull the sheet off of him to give him a hug... and he's fucking laughing.

Hysterically.

Then he says GOT YOU!!!! and points at me.

I'm still half asleep and didn't quite get it.

My daughter jumps up from the side of the bed, starts cracking up, me telling me that he pranked me.

I told her that I hated her, and that I was dropping her little brother off at the firestation the next day.

She shrugged and said, "eh. you win some, you lose some."

They both had exactly zero fucks to give about it, and it was hilarious to me.

I was throwing the football w/my lil man, who's 7. He went into 'Russel Wilson mode' - but as I watched it, he looked way more like Uncle Rico to me. Shit had me crying.

his favorite question is "what is ____ doing?" or "what are you doing?"

he hates it when I'm busy and instead of saying "yes" to a question I'll say "mmhmm".

One day I was cleaning up.

He asks "daddy...what you doing?"

I said "cleaning." - I was trying to get shit done, no need to explain my every move like "ok, now I'm putting these things in the box"

He asks again, "daddy...what you doing?"

I said "cleaning." this time kind of annoyed because he can ask the same question 10 times after receiving the same answer 10 times.

Then he put some bass in his voice for a 3 year old and says "NO. WHAT. ARE. YOU. DOING?"

like...did this dude just get extra black with me?


the baby is now 1. his hand eye coordination is shit as a it should be, hes only 1. if hes not doing something he feels left out so I make it a habit to always have something to hand to him or else he will flail until I set him down so he can break, tear or eat whatever the fuck it is we're all enjoying. I handed him some random plastic toy thing which kept him entertained while I moved from room to room picking up shit. Out of the blue he drops it, so I pick up and hand it to him and he immediately tosses it forcefully on the ground - we looked at each other but his face said "I said what I said."

Very unexpected. Hilarious

Everyday it's something funny they do or say, I love it.

And I could hardly get through the story I was laughing so hard. I was retelling them about this Beta Fish Battle that two dudes organized in their dorm suite and how absolutely stupid it was. They hyped it up all over the dorm, it was so hilarious. The fish just swam around together in the bowl. Not exactly the battle to the death they were anticipating and it makes me laugh just thinking about it.

James Roday and Dule Hill had incredible chemistry. Even when they did the DUMBEST stuff it was still funny.
