There will always be a way to validate something like this, or a war, or someone getting their neck squashed for 8 minutes until they lose their life ... because the idea is that "some good will surely come from this" ... and while that may be true, folks constantly have to ignore and downplay the bad else they evaluate what it means to sacrifice and not demand more from their own lives.

I demand more. This isn't good enough.
