My biggest problem here was that they opened the episode with it, and I think that's what made it feel SO out-of-nowhere. You hanging on for a week, wondering what happens with the portal and all, and then.... EMMETT TILL! It was just jarring, but I didn't mind its inclusion at all.

I gotta disagree here. People actually say they can't breathe when they can't breathe. Plus with this being the 50s, I like the statement that this is just American history.

A lot of this seems to be asking to show to focus on somewhat unnecessary parts of the story instead of feeding you the meat of the story (which is understandable to some degree, but maybe also try to understand that they're breaking ground here and may not want to slow things down to much)... especially this.

This didn't bother me. I suppose they could've shown them working all that out, but I appreciate them leaving that assumed for the sake of moving the story along and keeping it exciting. Families go through shit and move on. At least that's been my experience. I don't necessarily need to be bored with the details of how they made peace here. Knowing that they did is enough for me.

I don't understand what you're saying here.

Well he had to recite an incantation to put the spell on Diana. The monster kinda ripped his throat and esophagus out lol.
