I've been on a history kick and learning about the brutal bombing of Korea and Japan (in WWll)
bombing in this case specifically meaning incendiary bombing - aka napalm.
that stuff is no joke. it will bring an enemy to their knees.
essentially, the US does not fucking play. during the bombing of Tokyo during operation meetinghouse, the US in a single night killed 80-100,00 people and destroyed a 16 by 16 mile section of the city. For reference, Manhattan is 13 miles long and 2.5 miles wide.
80,000 people - gone in a single night and it's not instant death, its a fucked up, FUCKED UP way to die.
ugh.
That was one city in Japan. The US saw the effects of that, looked at Korea and said "aight, bet"
So while watching last night I was thinking...this aint a normal war with guns and bombs, they were really seriously trying to dominate.
