13397293, Yea man - nice/demoralizing recap. Ha.
Posted by Brew, Tue Aug-04-20 01:54 PM
I've been kinda trying to put this dreadfulness on the backburner of my brains for the last couple months, and just enjoy summer to the best of my ability, considering all that's happened and is still happening this year. The weather's been beautiful in my area since like late May (thank gawd) so that's been a damn blessing. So my wife and I have spent a lot of time outside, and have had time to take part in some activities we typically don't have a ton of time for because of regular adult life schedules (weddings, kids' birthdays, all that regular bullshit).

But all of the below has crept into my thinking from time to time and yea - things could get a trillion times worse before they ever get better, if they ever do. I've been SUPER fortunate in regard to my job to this point; my company hasn't yet been too badly impacted by COVID or COVID-related domino effect. But it's likely coming, as several of our clients *have* been impacted and will likely be impacted further now that Cheeto has basically abandoned even attempting to do anything about it.

Then there's everything else.

It sucks. Heartbreaking that we're at this point.
