and of course Underground Railroad with Jazz Poets Society

Lonnie B and Mad Skillz crew

Bear One was a DJ and producer. He moved to Philly and still lives there.

we used to throw a lot of shows and had a Tuesday night at Richies on Broad St by the 7/11. Small spot but we packed that place tight.

Threw a lot of shows at Alley Cats. Shockoe Bottom had some nice spots but they closed down the biggest venue right before our Black Star Show which totally fucked us over.

If it wasn’t for Richmond I would’ve never been in the music scene that deep.

but like you, if I would’ve stayed in the biz I would prolly be dead from excessive drinking and ummm… chasing after tail.

Wouldn’t trade it for the world. Met tons of artists and collaborated and shared stages with a lot of people. Also lost a lot of money on failed shows and sometimes the money didn’t add up at the end of the night which meant some folk were stealing, lol

music biz has so many 2 faced people too. Trust no one, everyone is out to get theirs and will butter you up and stab you in the back. If it aint in writing, don’t believe the hype.
