these were her close friends.
And one's who have built a reputation off being woke or whatever.
And she points out that other people got mistreated worse than her. Se points to Flo Brown, Malik, Hub and others.

And Buddy RE: her od
Jag says that she OD'd because her pills had been switched. The ones she thought she took are not the ones she ended up taking. She OD'd and woke up to find out that her husband had found her in a pool of blood and didn't take her to the hospital, didn't seek any medical treatment for her, just put her in the bed and left her there for like 26 hours. She would later find out that only a couple weeks earlier he had upped her life insurance policy, which leads her to believe that he tried to kill her. She told The Roots crew about this and the response was essentially "well that's between ya'll, he's still hooking us up with these Polo discounts"

She also says that her drug and alcohol abuse can be attributed to what she'd gone through over there years in dealing with them.

Whether all that amounts to "abuse" I suppose is up to your definition. But if your definition is the "continued mistreatment of someone over time," then yeah, i would say it is.

Then stealing her tour, is super fucked. She says she had a European tour lined up right after her son was born. The Roots apparently told her that she needed to go on the road with them. Then they told the promoters that she was going to stay home to raise her son, but they would do the tour for an increased fee.

She talks about how they stole her Pepsi promotion from her in somewat similar fashion.

Honestly, you should just watch the videos.
