He doesn't need PR that badly that he needs to damage his public reputation even more just to sell a few records.
Anyone who thinks this is about kicking up controversy to sell some records is 100% wrong.
This is someone spiraling out of control because he is not taking right steps (medicine, treatment, etc) to deal with their bipolar disorder.
