what 400 million people in america.

It's about the millions of people who follow him, subscribe to him, buy his records, and buy his shows, and follow his brand. It's not odd to think that those millions of people couild be turned into voters!

That's the difference here, social media and branding. What I have noticed in different industries, is that educated and qualified people are being replaced by brands and people who are popular. Trump is the prime example. Trump already had millions of followers via social media and his entertainment presence, and then you add his business affiliations and companies, and that shit all came together. The people voted for him, and he promoted his business associates to government positions.

It has become the football jock winning student body president over the more qualified and polished student candidate.

This is why I tell people Do not laugh at this. Don't you fucking dare laugh or ignore this, especially after history has given us Hitler, Bush, and Trump.

Most of the times being simply famous, rich and powerful is all you need in order to conquer. And just like Trump has a vehicle behind him that pushes and controls the agenda, Kanye has the same thing pushing his agendas

The fact that all the news outlets dedicated a lot of time to discuss the chances of Kanye becoming the president, lets you know this is not a laughing matter.

Our last two presidents were voted because they were popular or famous, neither had any oval office experience. And both were expected to lose against Hilary Clinton, the one with all the political experience and intelligence. Hell, obama's history as a political figure was highly in question, because as a legislator he voted present on the majority of the bills that came his way. He didn't vote yes or no. However, obama was likeable, he was well spoken, and his popularity grew. Plus he had a good looking family, and possibly one of the greatest logos in political history. That was promoted more than his government experience, because he was really weak in that area.

Now if this were pre-2000, Kanye wouldn't stand a god damn chance, and wouldn't even be talked about, other than being viewed as a joke.
But Life has changed for every platform due to the digital age we live in, and it's becoming less and less about your experience and ability, and more about your popularity and brand and how it can be exercised by the true powers that be.

Don't laugh. You would be better off crying than laughing, due to kanye becoming president is not far fetched.

And then there will be people in the industry who will be outraged by what Kanye is doing, and they will think they would make a better president, and run for office. So don't be surprised, in the next 8 or 4 years, to see a ballot with Kanye, the Rock and Puffy on it. I would not be surprised one bit.
