It don't even need to be 8 hrs. Your feeding window can be 4, 6, 10, 12 hrs, etc.

There *might* be a minor benefit to lining meals up with the circadian rhythm. Need more research, but here are 2:

At the very least, just go with personal preference and what fits your lifestyle best. 12pm to 8pm is not superior because of it being 12 pm to 8pm. It's all about energy balance.
