Phelps said the noose was not in that formation at the beginning of the October race weekend but it was by the end of the weekend. They do not know who tied it, why it was tied, and why no one reported it.

devils advocate i guess is that the same rope was being used in october but not tied as a noose originally. someone tied it in a noose by the end of the weekend. the noose stayed perfectly clean past that weekend and until june of the following year. it was the only garage in all 29 of nascars racing facilities with a noose tied like that. and nascars only black driver just happened to end up in that specific garage on the weekend following his public elevation as a #blacklivesmatter supporter and his vehement calls for the banning of the confederate flag from all nascar events.
lol maybe real life is just stranger than fiction.
