I don't know Leslie Mac, but her tweet is demonstrably false on the face of it after 2 minutes of google searching. Google "Breonna" and "Shaun King" and you immediate find this:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2020/05/14/breonna-taylor-what-know-louisville-emt-killed-police/5189743002/

where you find this:

"Though Taylor was killed nearly two months ago, her case gained national attention recently after prominent activist Shaun King posted about her story on social media. Since then, Taylor's family has hired civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, who is also representing the family of Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old black man who was shot and killed by two white men in Georgia in late February. "

So based on a major news source (and not a tweet of some person on twitter), I see that SK is seen as having brought a national spotlight to the story. TBH, I am fairly certain I first heard about the case because he tweeted about it. I also see that the lawyer representing the family is Benjamin Crump, who of course works closely with SK.

Then I google "the Action Pac" and "Breonna" and I get no other than Beyonce driving people to SK's Action Pac's efforts to support Breonna by signing a petition and fundraising.

https://thehill.com/changing-america/enrichment/arts-culture/502820-beyonce-writes-to-kentucky-ag-demanding-justice-for

That would be enough to make me skeptical to retweet or circulate the idea that SK had nothing to do with passing the law.

But then of course, we learn it's completely not true when we learn Counsel Woman Barbara Sexton Smith cited SK Action Pac's grassroots project as making 154k calls and being responsible for the law's passage as well.

So we now have seen again, like the 3 time in this post, the criticism comes not from the family of the survivor, OR even the main organizations supporting them (Leslie Mac mentions BLM-Louisville but that org isn't criticizing SK), but rather the complaint is coming from some outsider .

On some level< I understand why Local activist get pissed off when he swoops in on a local story and gets all the national attention/glory but it seems to me that's a fair tradeoff to get national attention on a local story. At any rate, the families seem grateful.

But what I don't understand is why outsiders (Leslie Mac BTW, is BK based), have such a personal axe to grind that they activately hurting black causes. Because when you all make baseless claims without any details on social media, other people who don't do their own research listen and decide not to give to such black causes. like here:

This is just as bad as the girl on twitter telling people not to give to the NAACP.

Y'all should quit.
