There's no reason for Shawty Lo's "Units in the City" album to resonate with me like it does. I'm not from ATL. Was never a dope boy. Casio keyboard beats all over it. But it just HITS.

This song just came up and a tear damn near fell from my eye lol

What's some music you love, but can't explain why?

Brief backstory... I actually am from the south, but I hated the direction of a lot of southern music at the time, such as D4L's lead singe Laffy Taffy (which was killing the clubs back then). I also have never smoked.

At the same time tho, this song doesn't sound like their other songs. Better music and it's all singing and melody rather than rapping.

I was 8 when that album came out and had no business listening to such dirty music, but I did listen to it and it still feels comforting to listen to that album. I don't even listen to Black Pudding or Downtown, but every other song on that album is truly comforting for some reason.

The fact that you like it is awesome, I mean. The song kinda sucks but I will say that just thinking about it and/or the Venga Boys in general makes me smile.
13380819, Haha. That's the song from the six flags commercial
