The situation we are in today will be run in a very expedited manner and I could see it taking half the usual time to come to market - or less - depending on the data that comes out in the first few months.
Basically if they think it's effective and low risk they'll skip a bunch of the normal shit.
This is NOT the usual virus outbreak - literally most of the world's economy depends on this - not to mention literally 10 to hundreds of millions of people's live.
If they can make a vaccine in 2 years they'll make it in 1 year.
