Biden did all he could with little to no money, which was to limp to SC and then have Jim Clyburn carry him across, like the Footprints in the sand poem. If Obama had endorsed him months ago, that would be baked into the cake, giving Bernie and his people lots of time to have counter-strategy before the voting started. The way it looks right now, Bernie is not going to be able to pull that off. Momentum is huge with this stuff. Biden is rolling downhill with a head of steam, right now in a way that wouldn't have been as likely with an early Obama endorsement.
