it's that. Most times I think it's egregious in R&B.
For this song, IMO, it works though given the story.
And yeah, you are old because they been cussing in R&B for ever (like even back in the 70's)...your 'old ears' just cringe at it more now. lol

R&B songs with cussing in them where rare. I'm a big Manhattans fan and I just found out 6 years ago they released R rated versions of all their albums
