If that person asked me in a sheepish, conciliatory, almost-embarrassed-about-it tone then I would more likely than not oblige the request, or at least decline from reclining to the full extent.

But if there's even a *hint* of annoyance in the person's voice, like it's my fault somehow, I'm unlikely to oblige and most likely to tell them to go fuck themselves in so many words.
