There's a level of common courtesy involved, in other words if the person behind me was in the last row and couldn't recline, and politely asked me not to recline I'd probably oblige just cuz I like to think of myself as a reasonable human.

But if I reclined and someone just started punching my chair, all that reasonableness goes out the window.
