13367131, I see they didn’t bother calling out to Lil nas X. He’s Black right?
Posted by blkprinceMD05, Thu Feb-13-20 05:30 PM
He may have chatted with them, maybe they felt like he wasn’t the right kind of Black tho..
13367150, crickets .very telling about this and is he wearing a track suit?
Posted by rdhull, Thu Feb-13-20 08:53 PM

>wasn’t the right kind of Black tho..
13367156, i noticed that too. mhm

13367234, Uh... maybe they didn't bother because they got fed up being ignored.

>He may have chatted with them, maybe they felt like he
>wasn’t the right kind of Black tho..

maybe they got frustrated after being ignored by other black musicians that walked the carpet before him and said fuck it.

Plus, it looked like he was surrounded by an entourage of people to keep him away from the likes of black media.

Seeing that would discourage anyone from trying to do an interview.

13367325, If he’s fed up being ignored I guess he will have to find another
Posted by blkprinceMD05, Sat Feb-15-20 06:47 PM
Profession then...wasn’t his point in posting this to show how Black Media always gets ignored???

Please use critical thinking and miss me with the catty “ummm” shit. Start a reply like a damn Adult and not a 13 year old with a bad attitude
13367411, *smh*

I'm not in a position to decide for him whether if he should chose another profession or not. What I do know is that being a black journalist, particularly an independent/freelance black journalist isn't easy. I have F&Fs who grind hard at that kind of work and I hear it all the time at how they're never taken seriously by A list celebrities and musicians. It's not an easy job and I commend them for making their faces present at what's considered as whites only press pools.

WATCH HOW SHE WONT RESPOND TO THIS RESPONSE. 🤫

Lil Nas X attended BET Awards. An award show dedicated to black entertainment. Unlike the Grammys which only credentialed 5 or so black media outlets, the BET Awards credentials dozens of black outlets. Lil Nas X hits the BET Awards carpet does an interview with entertainment tonight and walked in. You can google it. Search it. This was the first of 5 music awards shows featuring Lil Nas X. The Grammys being the 5th. He did the same thing every time. So please miss me with your we discriminated on Lil Nas X tantrum. It’s fake rage and your just distracting from the issue that was clearly stated for you in the video.
13367244, this place is awesome at dogging black people out

No matter how we try, someone always finds a way to blame us.
13367317, until we hold ourselves accountable things will never change
Posted by seasoned vet, Sat Feb-15-20 05:00 PM
and our culture dont like accountability
13367326, lol So pressed and miserable. Some posters never change
Posted by blkprinceMD05, Sat Feb-15-20 06:48 PM
I haven’t been on this site in years and you still posting miserable lol.
13367370, I’m so sad

13367324, no his first reply to being called out about that was a laughing emoji
Posted by blkprinceMD05, Sat Feb-15-20 06:44 PM
That’s no explanation at all, that’s trying to save face after being called out, if u are in the media and u want an interview u will take 10-20-infinity chances to get an interview or comments becuz that’s ur JOB

So all those other ppl he called out to on the Grammys carpet weren’t at BET awards? Or they gave him interviews at the other five awards?

I thought his point was to finally expose how Black artists ALWAYS snub Black owned media...

Come on, don’t fall for the okie doke, that response u posted is him trying to save face

I don’t begrudge his general point but I’m not gonna celebrate someone trying to make a point with a glaring double stand.

13367334, He was wrong to laugh

Nah he was looking at the bigger picture, his general point.
Even if doesn't try enough to get an interview, his point stands.

>So all those other ppl he called out to on the Grammys carpet
>weren’t at BET awards? Or they gave him interviews at the

None of that would take away from his original point since he is not the only one representing Black media. Even if he was wrong what about those who did call Lil Nas X and got got nothing from him.

>I thought his point was to finally expose how Black artists
>ALWAYS snub Black owned media...
>

What are the others doing who he did call out and they kept going ?

>Come on, don’t fall for the okie doke, that response u

It's not the okie doke, that's celeb's

>I don’t begrudge his general point but I’m not gonna

>stand.
>

He didn't help by laughing when questioned about Lil Nas X, but they dissed black media in that clip.

13367331, and yall belee dat shit lol

Basically. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been dealing with this for a few years on every major red carpet. That’s me in the silver waving & yelling trying to get folks attention lol - there were many who stopped for me, greatly appreciated - but many who didn’t, despite our collective attempts from the sidelines to call everyone’s name, even lil nas x."
