It was super americanized and we didn't venture into the more local parts of town where they would just want pesos except on a food tour. All the prices pretty much everywhere were in USD. I went to the ATM at the hotel to get some pesos for cab tips etc and it only dispensed USD. When I went to Tuluum I mostly used pesos. At the resort youll be totally fine with USD and pretty much everyone will take that.
