vinyl me please oversold 3 ft high so getting a refund for it. i joined with that record so the order was for $81 (3 months). got an email saying the order was cancelled and refunded the full amount.

they already shipped my december record and the january record is still showing as paid.

the album i ordered on black friday is still showing as paid as well and is also on its way.

i dont know if i will need to ship back these records or what.

i kinda do need the money so getting a refund is not the worst thing in the world but still sucks i wont get 3 ft high.

The best Zelda game, IMHO.

Has a N64 and the first two 3D Zelda games, and while they were ok I got bored with them at some points. Never got through the Mask one.

The only other Nintendo thing Ive owned was a Gameboy Pocket. I like it because its a good mix of difficulty and more chill exploring and puzzle solving.

lol thats pretty much the move. anytime i try to use some strategy i fail hard.

You don't really HAVE to do anything but the main quests. You can get really obsessive about collecting stuff and doing every single side mission and fighting every monster or you can just ignore it and do what you want. Most of the time I'm just running around exploring and finding stuff to do along the way.

Recording myself, played some bass and keys, more guitar, re-takes of vocal tracks. From Wednesday night until Sunday morning. Barely washed. Just played music all day while I was up.

I spent yesterday at a memorial for a friend who passed in december... it was extremely unconventional and went on all day and well into the night long after we split... it was bizarre like part massive swap-meet part raging party part massive cry camp.. I helped set up loading stuff up 3 flights of stairs two of which were rickety fire escape, stairwells... my body aches today...I had to duck out a couple times just because it was a bit overwhelming.. there were probably hundreds of people there.. it was bizarre like part massive swap-meet part raging party part unrelenting cry camp.

while out at one point I ran into some other old friends not associated with this event but rather more from the 20 to 30 years ago range when I may or may not have been trouble.. anyway one guy was looking pretty rough the other looked healthier.. and lol can that guy make you laugh... just evil... it was good to see the old gang.

there are a lot of stories that come to mind now from either of the above sources but I guess I've not really the time to tell them as I'm at work.. and I run the risk of boring you anyway.. my memories.. I'll keep em.

we recently got a new tool to check the print and coworker keeps calling me anytime it detects a problem. i checked it out and saw you could get different results depending on how you held the tool. still probably something that can be fixed in the art. i double checked the print to make sure it wasnt an issue being caused on press.

decided to check the file and i noticed that object was in the brown separation in the art but i remembered seeing it as black in the sample. thought that was weird. went back to the floor and asked QC if the barcode was being printed black or brown. looked at the sample and they were printing the brown separation with black lol

im pretty sure they were going to run the full order like this.

We had a steam cleaner that had an attachment and I swear as soon as we realized it may make it easier to clean the tub that shit broke.

Can't just clean the tub... gotta clean the intake ports and water jets, the filter, and every so often the pipes that feed the system. Never even turn that jawn on except to run it when cleaning.

I've found Pine Sol or Simply Green work the best for everyday cleaning.

they make spray and rinse shower stuff too I think but I bet you oven cleaner works like a champ... just rinse the hell out if before you go for a soak.

Still waiting on a refund from a seam split and a warped record that they couldn't replace.
Still waiting 2 of the 5 albums I was supposed to receive in December (still no tracking number on those).
I was one of the people who got extra copies of The Infamous. Sent them back, received $35 in store credit, won a copy of their coffee table book in the raffle, and got a test pressing of De La Is Dead. I think that's supposed to ship this week.

The company is in fucking shambles. And watching the sub, every day they fall further into the whole. It's incredible.

Always because I didn't have anything to cook at home, or not enough time. Then I get to work, the coffee wears off and the stomach grumbles start. Rather cook at home and not waste the money.

at least for now. its been so weird. tuesday was pretty good most of the day until i laid down. woke up with it feeling worse yesterday. kinda bothered me all day.

i googled sleeping positions and decided to try laying flat with a pillow below my knees. i just cant stay in that position so i put it between my legs when i switched to the side. woke up a few times and i could still feel it hurting. when i woke up to get ready it basically was gone.

not sure if the pillow really worked that well or what. gonna do it again tonight though lol

I tweak mines every now and again. Last time was a few weeks back. Bent over and felt a mild twinge. Usually doesn't get too bad. About five years back I did something wrong and had a hard time standing up or tying my shoes. I try to stretch out pretty often now. I think siting in an office chair all day has made me more susceptible to these injuries because my ankle randomly hurts sometimes too.

a few months back im sure i hurt it while carrying a sub. i didnt expect it to be so heavy so i just tried lifting it like nothing lol my back was off for at least a week. had all sort of weird tingling. nothing since then.

i was just telling someone about that the other day how it hadnt bothered me since. then a couple days later boom it starts hurting lol. it was weird this time, there wasnt tingling just felt sore. if i was sitting down at work or standing up, doing any lifting it didnt bother me. if tried to lay down at home, slouch, it was a no go. hopefully its gone for now. i do plan to get a check up within a month and will bring it up.

Went to see Nephew Tommy at the comedy club. He was okay but the young guys with him are legit comedians. We laughed. First time using a new babysitter and she was on time and didn’t have any surprises.

welp... here I am all back under my oppressors wing.. and I didn't even view the setup dialogs with my usual level of paranoid scrutiny and resistance... I was just like F it Morpheus give me the blue pill and the red pill.

I'll be all over the house, but usually not the bedroom once I'm up, so I'll go most of Saturday and Sunday without having my phone. I miss calls, but fuck it... them calls can wait.

Plus, I do too much shit to be worrying about a damned phone. Can't use a phone at all when riding the motorcycle, using tools, fucking with my plants, playing guitar, etc. I got work to do.

I don't do anything with my phone except listen to music during the week and coordinate with my kids if they're coming out.

Not stressed the fuck out about simply being at work anymore. No more seeing dozens of people walk back-and-forth past me every hour. No more hearing the chick behind me whistle for hours... And on and on...

Only got this because I refused to sit at my old desk anymore, and the managers got tired of trying to track me down all the time.

No more sitting near the art department and their ADHD behaviour. No more people walking behind me every few minutes. Some days it's so quiet at my new desk I start dozing off in the afternoon, while at my other desk I was in a state of continuous rage. I can think and even work late some days now.

Had to downsize the amount of stuff I keep at my desk, but it's all papers and computer books and things like that anyway.

We're getting there.

I could go out back and throw them at shit. Would be fun. I could also take my bow and shoot some arrows, and maybe even shoot the guns out back. Also want to get a spear / javelin to throw.

Getting some land out in the middle of nowhere is high on my list. Gonna farm it to finance it.

I’ve got some stuff brewing though. There’s no shortage of opportunities for people with my skill set and experience. Hoping to be in a position to choose between multiple offers at the same time. That’s the closest I’ll get to changing offices and cultures especially if the opportunities come via contracts with the same government client that I’m with now. Going back to private industry is on the table too. That just comes with an increased possibility of taking a short.

I dozed off twice during a meeting, according to brutha man, the black guy who holds the most senior position at our org. He was mad cool and jovial about it. I hope my other co-workers don’t judge me too harshly.

I been having some insomnia issues and I only got three hours of sleep in the 48 hours.

I’m aggressively paying off this credit card because I had some unexpected car expenses in January.

I’ve been really good about keeping a cushion in my account. I moved some money but it hasn’t hit my account yet. Shit is taking forever since it was an M1 account... and by forever I mean 5 or 6 business days.

...w/ no backup. Just having -$41.67 for a week. Counting dimes out the change jar (quarters already all gone) to pay for bus fare.

i cant imagine getting through a day of work without music. i carry three pairs with me. my headphones which are my primary, some galaxy buds which i was using for the impeachment hearings. i could walk around with them without looking silly. i did use them for some music and they were pretty good. if im just casually listening to music theyre good. then i have my wired ear buds that came with my old phone and the adapter since my phone doesnt have a headphone jack.

i do also have a pair of wired ear buds in my desk but they would be useless if i forgot my bag one day lol

my tail. A few weeks ago, someone that I’d worked with recently reached out to gauge my interest in joint the consulting firm he works for. We only worked together for a couple months when I first started this gig. Dude said that he was tremendously impressed and, because of that, he’d been hyping me to his people because they were about to land some mods that increased their funding.

Well, it’s in motion now. I’ve heard and read that it’s a great company. Let’s see how the next week goes. Formal convo with the hiring manager tomorrow. And then a convo with one of their execs next week. Still in the government space but these guys are one of only three gold partners in the entire U.S. And instead of a short, my salary expectations weren’t questioned when I responded to the question. We’ll see. Til it works out, head down and mouth shut. Just hide my time til I’m out of this funky dump.

i was questioned about a PO from last year. after some digging i found the emails where we requested to put a hold/cancel on the PO. this email was sent by our purchasing manager to our vendor per my request.

i send the emails and a short explanation to accounts payable. i get a response from the purchasing manager asking that i inform purchasing of such things so they could have cancelled the PO.

i almost replied "purchasing manager person, YOU send the hold to the vendor per my request. meaning you were notified." i stopped myself and im leaning on just not responding.

what would be the right response? should i just give them a call? just let it be?

basically they asked you about a PO. Told you to be sure to do what you actually did because they have forgotten or missed that you did.

I would forward the email chain and ask for clarification of what step you missed (or didn't) so that next time you can be sure.... that said perhaps there's some more specifics around process involved here or something.

i was going to do the reply all but i stopped myself. i think someone else called out purchasing so they were trying to pass it on to me.

if i had actually done something wrong OR didnt do something i should had purchasing could had hit me up directly.

i did attached the original email chain in my initial reply, when purchasing replied i was going to respond that you could see they were notified in the email chain. im pretty sure they didnt bother opening the email attachment.

...for riding. You squeeze the bike between your legs, balance at a standstill with your legs, and shifting body position uses a lot of your back muscles. Never had *any* shoulder pain while riding, although my neck used to ache after a while (had to get used to the wind blowing my helmet around) and hand cramps from constant clutching in stop-and-go traffic.

One thing that really helps is flexibility. I'm constantly shifting my body around while riding, and being flexible helps to keep from tweaking anything.

Thats why I was gonna cancel. I went through all the options of things I might "lightweight" want, and I can get them all cheaper on Discogs. Ivy Sole, Queen Latifah, Sorcerer..all cheaper.

pretty busy morning

Potentially dangerous storm approaching and most people seem completely oblivious. Even talking about this makes them dismissive or angry.

People still doing nothing, staring at their phones. Binge watching shows. Hitting up McDonalds drive thru or three wings and a soda from the take out spot.

Little one started crying for mommy as soon as I started doing it. I got mad af.

Just had our 12 year anniversary yesterday. It was good to go out to dinner by ourselves.

I’m using a credit card for household expenses and maybe I’m tripping but the money is funny. By that I mean our spending is down and we are seeing the benefits of using our joint account less often.

I have a shit load of work this month. Gotta focus on wrapping up some of these projects. I work better under pressure.

Trying to watch that URL battle was painful. Caffeine got overwhelmed.

Did a little mixing and posted a few old "dj" pics on instagram over the weekend..that was actually fun. Getting ready for a gig back home next weekend and I actually feel motivated for it.

Got two job offers...never in a million years did I think I would have that kind of problem.

No plan if we gotta close the office, or work from home. No "we're keeping an eye on this y'all" email. Not even a fucking note reminding employees to wash their hands and stay home if sick. We used to have sanitizer machines by the elevators, but they have been gone since renovations a while back.

with shipping it was like $75 but im pretty excited about it. this was a big album to me. ive been wanting to get the reissue on amazon and ive been tempted to buy it at the local record store. i think those are $20-25. i saw this one sealed and seeing it comes with the instrumentals, in a wooden case and a booklet i couldnt pass it up. not really a mark up from the original price either.

i did get the de la soul is dead in and a bit disappointed. it was in rougher shape than i expected. not exactly overpriced for the condition but rougher than advertised. had a couple of skips and some sections were pretty noisy. i will eventually replace it with the VMP version or if tommy boy gets it together with a reissue.

might take half a day off tomorrow.

weekend was chill...

made a bday cake for my brother. whom happens to be a terrible drunk and says the most inappropriate things. Like, it’s not uncommon for him to reveal family secrets...

took out my braids and not sure what to do with my hair now...

raised the tv up as much as i could with the stand i have for it so i could place my turntable under the TV. looks kind of funky with the tv raised so much but i think its the legs on the stand. it barely cleared the turn table cover. the cover actually hits the bottom of the tv but does stay up.

probably going to end up mounting the tv on the wall....when i move.

moving the tv up also makes it appear smaller lol watching it is actually good tho.

I wanted to get rid of an equipment stand and replace my TV stand with something that could house all of my equipment.

Ended up buying a $2k (NEW) stand off Craigslist that was a small amount of damage for under $50.

Problem is my center would not fit inside it, so i had to buy a stand for the TV to raise it 8 inches.

Ended up having to take the wheels off the stand to lower it - but the TV is not 27" inches high to it's lowest point - I really just want 24.

I think i cna lower the TV 3 inches and put the center IN FRONT of the TV and the center won't block the TV at all. It's raining all week so I'll know this week.

good score on the stand. im still debating on moving my two storage cubes from the side of the tv so i can bring in the speakers closer. i basically have my two speakers a few inches from the left and right of the wall. i got my tv in the center, a 2x1 cube on each side, to the left of that is my sub then the left speaker. on the right is an empty spot that is kind of an eye sore and then the right speaker.

i think i would remove the left cube and bring in the sub and both speakers then move the cube i had on the left either to the right of the right speaker, to the left of the left speaker or somewhere else completely.

the top of my tv ent. center has my center speaker then my switch, nvidia shield and wifi router/modem the right has the turntable. not very clean. my receiver is in the ent. center below the center speaker. it used to be to the right of the center speaker because the cables on my turntable are too short and im using the phono preamp in the receiver. the turntable was on the left storage cube.

i want to place a small dvd player so i can play CDs and maybe DVDs sometimes but not sure where i would place it. im thinking of maybe mounting my center speaker right below the tv using the tv stand brackets but im worried that could affect the balance and look weird. that would free up more space on the ent. center.

if the tv stand i have would keep the tv towards the back i would be set. i bought a tv stand (replaces the legs of the tv using the vesa mount) that sits on top of the ent. center so the tv is sitting about halfway instead of the back. it has like 6 spots you can mount the tv for different heights but you have to unscrew the stand from the tv to make the adjustment. im kind of stuck with where my tv sits for now, the screw heads started stripping so i definitely need to make sure i have some replacement screws next time i make a change to it. doesnt help that the tv is pretty heavy lol

The wooden doors on your don't allow for components behind them to be controlled via IR.

I also had to have these features in the "perfect" one.

Left and Right cabinets need to be 18.25" inches or wider, and be at least 15" high.

My center speaker is 26.50 inches wide (25.2 without grille) by 8.55 inches tall and I'd like it to be at least 14" off the ground.

The depth of the cabinet needs to be at least 19".

I'd like wheels to access the back for re-wiring when needed.

They thing I bought had ALMOST all of that, just the center speaker won't fit in the cabinet - it's off by less that 1/4 of an inch. So i had to put it on top - which means I had to buy a TV stand to raise the TV, which means the TV was moved from being 24" off the ground to nearly 31". So I had to take off the wheels to get it to 27" off the ground. But I had to put furniture sliders under it to make it move - and I lost the ability to level the stand which the adjustments on the wheels.

What I might do is take all the equipment off it, disassemble it, remove the center supports and shelf and cut 1/4 an inch of wood off each side on the top 10 inches (which will be hard because of some embedded metal in it), adjust the height of the shelf below it (drill new holes, add pegs) and reassemble it, add the legs back on, and see how I like it.

It's a shit ton of work , but as someone said above "Men - and their TVs."

yeah i dont plan to put any devices in the side compartments. i wanted them for storage. it would be helpful, especially since i cant find out where to put the dvd player lol. i can probably remove the doors if i wanted to put devices in there.

I bought a BDI Avion off Craigslist that has some minor damage (that's not really visible) for $45.

It would not fit my center channel so I had to put the center on top, and I had to buy a TV stand/mount to raise the TV up over the center channel.

This meant my TV went from being 24" off the ground to over 34" which was too high - so I removed the feet/wheels from the BDI and put furniture sliders under it instead. So the TV is now at 27" off the ground, but it's not too high.

I like the center being a little higher than it used to be, I think it sounds better somehow.

I put the components in the left and right cabinets Pioneer Lx-801 receiver, Tivo, Apple TV 4k, Sony 4k X800m2 player, and a PC. I stuffed ALL the wires into the bottom drawer so it's a lot cleaner looking. I moved the subwoofer to the far corner.

i watched a video on the BDI octave last week, had me wanting it. maybe if i see one on CL for cheap.

not sure what im going to do with my TV. I think I pretty much need to mount it on the wall. i did swap around the 2x1 cubes so that my records could be next to my turntable. might have been easier to move my turntable lol

i was thinking of putting both cubes to the right of the tv so once i moved the vinyl cube over there it was staying there lol i didnt like how it looked having both cubes on the right and nothing on the left so i moved the other one with cds to the left. i then moved my sub outside my speakers like you have it. this got my speakers about 1.5 ft closer in. so my sub is on the corner but i dont have much (any) space between it and the left speaker.

It just depends - they're WAY WAY overpriced new.

Mine has a 3/4 ding on the top in the back and the dude had it up for weeks so he kept lowering it so I figured why not? When I picked it up he had bough a new TV and put it on the wall. (At a height I thought was too high.)

The one you are looking at is newer and looks more modern so they don't show up too much on Craigslist.

pretty happy with them. phrenology looks nice, so does new amerykah pt 1. the j5 box set wasnt exactly what i was expecting. for some reason i thought i was getting an outer sleeve for the album and another for the instrumentals. instead each disc has its own inner sleeve and got a booklet. the booklet is pretty dope though. im not sure if to keep everything in the wooden box or in a protective sleeve.

I've got a heated jacket + heated grips on my bike. The heated jacket is a game changer. On medium it keeps me quite warm in teens/20s. The heated grips kinda suck, but they are better than nothing. Your palms stay warm, but fingertips still freeze. Heated gloves are my next accessory purchase.

I just wanted an update on the cleaning service since it was the first time they came.

So now it’s going to be 2 weeks of frustration with her gig. If they close daycare... whew it’s going to get ugly.

I started using my time off to avoid the office most of last week, because I figured this WFH week was coming. Gonna try and get mad work done so I can make working from home a permanent thing (at least for a few days out the week).

they also sent us some protocols, basically saying stay home if youre sick (using up existing PTO policy)

im glad that i dont have loved ones i interact with in person that i have to worry about unknowingly infecting. for the most part i fit the profile of people that should go to work if we have important work to do. making sure i have a check is good as well. will help me from going broke too quickly from buying records and records and records lol

i cut the front last weekend, did the side this weekend. probably got half of the total yard left but its mostly grass thats left so shouldnt be a big deal. there was a cat hiding in the grass when i was cutting it lol front is starting to get a bit high now too. i thought i lived in a desert.

work has me perturbed. last tuesday they issued the stay home order. boss (while hes working from home) called me in the evening saying uhm nah youre gonna go in for a week and officemate is working from home then alternate.

last friday he called me (him still working from home) saying uhm things have changed. theres developments. need you go in for at least all of next week then we will see

he actually came in to work today. after lunch he comes to the office and asks how im doing. i can tell hes fishing to see if im okay with coming in. so i asked him, is there something you need me to do that requires me to physically be here? he instantly gets defensive talking about were lucky were considered essential and saying if i dont want to work.....i stopped dude. uh nah i didnt say i didnt want to work. i said i want to follow the recommendations and work from home. he did say he will evaluate it. i made my point, so and so working from home or coming in to work doesn't come in to play on wether i should be able to work from home. feel like hes not really gonna consider it.

im thinking whenever the officemate does come back, if she does, im going to demand i at least get to work from home for the total amount of time she did before we switch. he did say that she came into contact with someone that has the rona so hes reviewing it with hr (kind of weird). im on edge since that convo though. he pretty much framed it as i can come in to work or not have a job.

im gonna find some boxes to steal.

man hope you keep the gig... if your co-worker was exposed \possible infected then they need to be isolated so if somebody does need to be in then I guess it makes sense to put that on you unless there's other folks who could get the love.

this whple situation is messed up.. I'm just glad that my work seems to be steady enough and doable from home. I'm in healthcare so I doubt I'll be let go right now but our work is largely project work and a lot of that is in a bit of a holding pattern.

ive told him as much. the thing is even with her working from home im not having to do much in person. seems like he was looking for excuses to not let me work from home. i dont understand that.

before today i was thinking this other coworker maybe got sick and wasnt going to be able to come in. he took all his computer stuff from the office on friday. i thought maybe the boss was going to need me to supervise these other folk. coworker came in today though so not sure what thats about.

my overall message to the boss was, we should try to get everyone working from home. if there are exception that keep them from working from home then we bring them in. for me specifically i should work from home and can come in on set days/hours to do what needs to be done in person. thats been my stance since this started getting serious.

well see. overall its good to have a pay check while this is all happening so 🤷🏻‍♂️

man I'm living the dream back working at home.... just wish we didn't have to have this whole fucking end days scenario to get here.

boss came in, or opened the door and stood back. said "things are warming up now, might have to send you home" my reply "Huh?" he said "work from home, well see."

had an issue with the vendor on tuesday. i sent an email saying what was up and that we would get replacements in thursday. boss replied "see good thing you were here to catch this!" i didnt reply. bumped into him later and he again was like see.... i told him, the plan was if i worked from home to come in to inspect these things anyway. his reply "its just more efficient if youre here" okay buddy.

this 180 on masks is annoying me. for weeks they were saying its not airborne. you dont need masks unless your sick or helping someone that is sick. i even repeated that to my coworkers and snickered at them wearing them. now they say we all probably should be wearing mask.

Came out to see the shit laying on its' side, pots with freshly-planted seeds all spilled out, and some of my OG plants with snapped stems. Was mad as hell...






...so I called my mom and told her about it, lol. Calmed me right down. Frame got bent, but it's still usable. PVC cover got torn, and I'm not gonna put it back on because of the wind. It's just a plant rack now. Gotta replant a bunch of seeds, and probably make a run to get some more.

Last freeze here I think was back in February. Usually April 15th is the last freeze date. We've been getting really high winds seemingly after every rain for a few years now. 1/4 inch of snow all winter. Just way too many changes going on at once.

i was pretty productive for once. still got more to do but it was good to actually get some things off my to do list.

i havent heard a peep about working from home in a while. so much for alternating weeks. at least theyre giving us more masks...sometimes.

hooked up with my friends online for another DND session.... texted with the kids... I miss them... haven't seen them in weeks and not sure when that's gonna change yet...

I've been sleeping like shit though.. heartburn been keeping me up and then just some constant low grade stress and anxiety over all this shit. *sigh* oh well... c'est la vie... fortunately nobody I know has died from this.. hope it stays that way.

Pretty-much done with city life. Being at home all day everyday has shown me that I don't miss city life much. I much rather work out in my garden for six hours than be in an office. I don't care to shop, eat out, go to bars/clubs or other events, etc. Tired of the noise and the dummies that live here also.

I want somewhere I can ride my dirt bike around in peace, maybe set up a few targets to shoot at, garden/farm, build things, work out, jog around my land, get a few goats and alpacas, and live life at my pace. Dummies live out here as well, but at least they will be hundreds of yards away, instead of right across the street.

I don't think I'm gonna move again... but if I do it will be like you say.. with outside space and distance from others.

im all set up. nothing to do but im ready. lol i decided to browse the net on my dusty windows laptop instead of the work one.

he called me like 30 minutes after start time to check in. im tempted to just put on some movies while i wait for work. i had considered looking into things i could do that are work related but eh

went for a motorcycle ride before work today... had to pick up soem coffee beans... waited in the starbucks drive through for about a half hour... lol that shit has been busy these days.

Working hard.. got a side contract too now so days are long but considering the possibility of work running out these days I'm glad to have more than usual so will not complain.

Thought someone stole my motorcycle last night. Went out to ride and it was GONE. Was sad, I surprised myself by accepting it and moving on right away. I could always get a new bike.

Long story short, I had rode to the store a few blocks away, and when I came out I had walked home on auto-pilot, leaving my bike there. Was laughing at myself when I finally figured it out.

I miss some interaction with the work gang but this covid sitch has got me back working from home fulltime which is really my happy place.. at least as far as work is concerned.. that said I gotta run out to a hospital today to deliver some stuff so it isn't all just being holed up at home.

im kind of worried about the boss saying, okay you work from home next week. i wanted to before, i still think it makes the most sense due to covid. the weeks i did it werent great as far as getting work done.

i think i got everything done as quickly and well but it took more effort. somewhat because i wasnt used to the set up and because my setup is better at work.

i also didnt really enjoy being at home all day. i didnt think it would bother me but it did. if i knew i was working from home for an extended period i would need to find a way to get used to it.

i really have no interest in alternating weeks anymore. keep me at home, i come in when necessary or just have me come in every day.

my set up isnt the worst, its just weird. at least im in an office. alone right now due to covid, but usually with only one other person. my screens face a wall so i dont have people sneaking up behind me. these windows are just dumb and very obviously meant to keep an eye on the people in the office.

im worried if the boss decides to bring both of us in together that he decides to have us work in separate offices. i think he would have one of us work in my coworkers office since he hardly uses it. knowing my luck it would be me. the problem is his screens face the door. had a scare earlier. received some items at work, over $3000. as i was checking them a measurement didnt match up. i knew i messed up. i was about ready to email the boss when it hit me that the number didnt add up. turns out i had misread a number and everything was good lol

i was expecting an extra $100 charge on these too but its not on the invoice so im taking this as a win.

when i got the notification i did not want to believe it. i think im past the initial shock but not at all hopefully on whats to come. definitely a shame that her life couldnt even be celebrated before talks on replacements started.

i did hack up that bush good though. couldnt dig up the roots as they go under some concrete. might give that another go next weekend. the bush is gone, and im hopeful that with only roots left it will wither away since we don't get much rain.

we've a long history of violence and abuse without justice too.. it seems we don't hear about it as much and that may be partially due to volume but it's also likely due to apathy.. we're just lower key.. our systems are built to do the same thing.. oppress and placate the people while supporting the ruling class and allowing for the continued siphoning of wealth and resource.

I'm pretty sure if I was first nations or black I'd be in jail or dead by now.. growing up there was more than one occassion where I caught a legal break I almost certainly wouldn't have.

not sure if i updated but i only ended up getting the electric hedge trimmer and not the leaf blower and weed trimmer i was hoping to get. so i still gotta string out some extension cords. i think if i get it done i wont have to worry about the yard for a loooong while.

i was thinking of going to the record store but i think thats a no go. i might go ahead and try using the klipsch speakers as mains this weekend though.

If it's the latter, does it have an electric pilot start (no open flame needed)? That part might be broke. If it's just the pilot light going out, open a window, clean out any dust/dirt and light it up.

Mine is in my basement, so I open the windows up down there to let any built-up gas vent out. Even if you don't try to light it make sure that area has ventilation. You don't want gas building up inside.

I don’t mind getting dirty but some things are best left to professionals lol. I have insurance for anything related to plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical for my home.

i had kept forwarding all relevant information my coworker had asked me to. still she would end up asking me about it once she actually had to do something with it. like if she never looked at the original emails or didnt keep track of it.

she missed something and made a big deal about it. next thing i know she sents me an email with an excel tracker for me to enter all the information into. i was ready to hit her back with um why am i supposed to be doing your work?

after some feedback from reddit users i decided to call her and agreed that i will fill it out instead of forwarding all the information. she agreed she would use the tracker and only ask if clarification was needed.

so far, mixed results. just today she asked me if there was anything else that needed to be added. told her everything is in the file. she asked me to take a look. told her, everything is correct.

so even if you fill out all the information everywhere youre asked to some people will still find a way to be a bother.

Not really feeling it and don't see it going anywhere, a combination of me not being interested, our current living situations/dynamics not lending itself to a serious relationship, and another girl I've also been out with that I'm actually interested in seeing where it goes.

decided to move my AV receiver to the top of my tv stand instead of inside one of the shelves. man was it more work than i expected. i did it so i would have easier access to the receiver incase i need to plug in more speakers/devices. also, the cable for the turntable is pretty short so i figured this would help. eh it barely reached as well. lastly, i hoped that it would help with the bluetooth connection, seems like it did.

the thing is there was some error in reporting in AZ. for some reason it was reported that i think 99% of votes were in but it was really only 80%. i think its still only a slight chance that trump will close the gap but there is a chance.

not sure if fox would call back their projection before they knew it would be going for trump. best bet will be to see if other places start projecting it.

My house isn't close to being decorated the way I want. I have the essential furniture but decor is lacking. Bought some picture frames, a vase, some mirrors....saw a cute desk but didn't want to drop $150 for it.

I got some decent stuff from Wayfair as well. Ordered that online. I need to look at like Overstock.com too.

i did get a new tv stand last year but that was more of getting something i could afford that fit my needs than something i really liked.

the dresser i got is fine, i wanted a different one but it was smaller and more expensive. i didnt want to take up so much space by getting two of them plus i didnt want to end up spending 4 times as much as the one i got just to get about the same amount of storage lol. i got my old dresser when i got out of college and its been falling apart so i definitely needed to replace it. wish i would have gone for real wood.

ive had my couch for over 5 years and it was a hand me down. never a big fan of it. i worry about spending hundreds of dollars on a couch and it breaking so figure i need to just wait and get a good quality one. maybe in spring after i get my yearly bonus.

im thinking before then i might end up getting some night stands and/or more storage for vinyl.

so i say im working up to essential furniture, not even considering decor lol would be nice to have an ikea near.

back in the office for the week. after this week im looking at only coming in 2 days of the following two weeks. i would "work" another 2 from home.

saw an email come in on saturday from a customer. i wavered back and forth on taking care of it saturday but ended up just waiting until today lol

he is having a sale on bandcamp, 20% off so i was thinking about it. i thought i had no poison no paradise but if i didnt i was about to jump on it. i checked discogs, nope. i had no black milk on there though and i KNOW i have at least a couple of his. so i checked my shelf and yep i do have no poison no paradise and synth or soul. dont know how i missed adding them on discogs. now im wondering what else i forgot to add on there lol

got one more day before vacation, boss sent an email telling us to be prepared to help if an emergency comes up during our vacation. um i might email back, sure. really hoping he doesnt try to get me to physically go in, that will not happen.

Tools all over the place. The basement is too moist, so I don't keep them down there to slowly get rusty. I've got an enclosed porch in the back I've started gutting (leaky roof) and will dedicate a whole wall for hanging tools and other stuff.

Past five years I've watched almost every game w/ my homey. Not this year tho. Lost interest.

I still think metal sucks, but metal riffs are growing on me. Started learning sweep picking because of listening to metal.

I've got some business plans that I've procrastinated on over the past few years, including my (house) plant shop. Gotta get moving.

My yard is a mess. Garden did pretty well over the summer. Gonna dig out the new beds for next year over winter so can hit the ground running. This year's compost heap might end up taller than me because I've been taking my neighbors leaves to add to my own

I took monday off. I have 3.5 days left of PTO and I plan on using all of it in December.

i think that refreshed feeling last week lasted 2 days max.

i was looking forward to not coming into the office the week of christmas and the week after. then boss hit me with wanting me to come into the office this week which would end up with me working in the office the week of christmas if we keep the alternating weeks schedule. i might suggest that i come in next week as there is actually good reasons for me to do so, much more than this week. id have to mention that i would work from home the week after lol
