my wife was tapped out, but I was still into the finale. I kind of never fully warmed to Jonah, so his turn from sullen to grating didn't really tax my nerves too badly.

Usually anything that warrants 10 full minutes of monologue punctuated with the intermittent 'BUT HOW?!?!'s from the protagonist can't possibly be good.
