friday started as a meh day for me but got an unexpected good surprise. vinylmeplease got three feet high and rising back in stock. i jumped on that and joined for three months. looks like its sold out already. i also picked up OG pressings of illadelph and beats rhymes and life at the local shop.

pulled the trigger on the tv and got it delivered saturday. got a couple of cube units for records. tv stand on its way. grass is cut.

i wasnt exactly looking to get a new tv but the situation arose and well i went big.

this has been an upgrade year for me materialistically wise.

i got a couple of 50oz reusable water bottles to bring to work. i was bringing 4 water bottles a day and it was weighing on my conscience lol

Got home Thursday and my dad, like he said, was not celebrating the holiday, so we just sat and talked and watched football. Went to my best friends house around 6, ate, drank and played some records that I brought up for this set me and a couple guys were gonna do on Saturday while other folks played cards and shit.

Friday...I didnt really do shit until later. Just hung with my dad, then went to the record store, bought a shirt, then took myself out for a b-day dinner. Met one of my homies at a brewery then we went to the Brand Nubian concert.

Saturday...hung with my dad all day, then went to the set. We played records until my man interviewed Don Newkirk. That was dope. Was gonna go to this House set but my car wouldnt start, and the car that parked in front of me wouldnt start either..so I just said "eff it" and caught an Uber back to my parents. Got up Sunday and me and my dad went and jumped my car, came back to the house and watched the sorry Panthers game. Hit the road after that, got back to the A and went to sleep..

Weekend was cool..Friday I chilled by myself.

Saturday was a wasted day. The plan was to drive in early am, pick the grandbaby up from the train, bring him back to the house, go to the barber shop (this all has to happen by 9am or it wont work), drive some more, stop by the record store to pick up mailers for an album I sold, take said album to the post office, meet my homegirl for a drink, then watch the the rest of the SEC game with my daughter. The grandbabys parent didnt get to our train stop until almost 9, which put me getting to the barber shop around 10...which put me 6th in line. My barber is dope, but kinda slow...I didnt leave the shop until almost 3. I go to drive a little bit and I forgot to update the insurance on the Uber app..so I go to the record shop, get the mailer, and get an order for another album, so I go back to the shop..by this time the game has started, so I rainchecked my homegirl, went home, dropped the baby off at the train and just did laundry.

Sunday, me and the Kid went to the Panthers "game". I finished laundry and watched the Seahawks game. The End.

i was cleaning the records i got in during the weekend last night. gotta say VMP makes some nice packages. discs look cool, covers are nice, nice extras. urban legends....eh all the colored discs were kind transparent which didnt look very cool. not what i expected. i wouldn't recommend someone pay extra for them vs the regular black discs. hopefully they sound good at least.

I'm not, but considering taking off for a 5-day weekend. I gotta see if the office is going to be quiet or not on those days first (depends on whether 2-3 specific people come in or not).

I need a new needle for my turntable. It's bent to the side and skips all over some records. I've quit playing records until I get a new one.

Starting to get grouchy because of that. Just want to go home, turn the heat up and chill.

fricking woke up at 5am today and couldn't get back to sleep properly either.... cursed.

or as soon as I get into a deep sleep and the them they want to crawl into our bed.

I wouldn’t even trip but they be mad selfish and sleeping crazy.

King size bed and I’m getting kicked and head butted and on the edge.

Wife keeps trying to lock them out but all that does is lead to door knocking or crying until someone wakes up.. and I’m a light sleeper.

Most of the time, he'd go back to sleep, and I'd wake up wondering when he came in. As he got older, he start coming in and laying down but still quiet. Once he got to little boy age (~4/5yo) that was it, I had to go looking for him in the morning. He'd wake up and start playing in his room.

Man, I slept until 12:30pm Sunday afternoon. I get to sleep that late like once a year. Felt refreshed-as-hell. Taking off after the holidays to get some sleep. My girl is going to visit fam too, so it'll just be me and lil' flipnile. Gonna bum around the crib for days like two unchecked dudes are supposed to, lol.

Damn housecleaning kept knocking. I was still up by 9:30AM

weekend was pretty busy. star wars friday, pizza party saturday, cowboys torture yesterday.

christmas season (and dumb decisions) have me feeling like commons first album for the rest of the year.

Wasn't going to, but I need to. I need a break from the noise.

Got some things lined up, but one thing I gotta do is work on marketing myself (artistically). Hard for me, because I'm a natural introvert. I love to create to create, and not for attention. Gotta take these shots at the end zone before I'm old and gray tho.

Really impressed myself with something I created over the weekend.

I have to put together a kitchen tonight for the girls. Not trying to do it tomorrow night.

Tomorrow I pick up the catering for pre thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night. Got a studio session set up with my nephews on Thursday.. gotta get these BARZ together..lol. Going to the Hornets/OKC basketball game on Friday.

so my coworker told me yesterday that she asked the boss if we could come in at 5 am to leave at 2pm. he said yes i said wtf. im gonna be sleep at 5 lol worst case looks like ill be solo in the office for 3 hours, im with it.

im pondering what it will take to be self employed and thrive in 2020.

being self employed can be a lot of extra headaches but it can also kick some serious ass.

just got a little good news. looks like they approved full bonus (paid 2020 spring) and there will be an additional bonus. getting it earlier than last year (this year?) but nothing now. would have been real nice to get a little something today but at least i know im getting the full amount and when.

Came in mad late too. Just didn't feel like leaving the crib this morning. Doesn't help that it's about 50f out and beautiful.
