13355076, we need to get serious
Posted by mista k5, Thu Nov-07-19 04:08 PM
we have to discuss fries.

what are you putting on them? are you dipping the fries, are you smothering them with your preferred sauce? are you doing "life hacks" like individually inserting each fry into the catsoup packet?

are you eating your fries before your burger?

do you go with seasoned fries? curly fries? salt them at the sea?

is anyone else with pg and the gravy train?

why arent you mixing pepper into your ketchup?

dont get me started on hash browns.
13355077, Just ketchup on regular fries. But for SWEET POTATO FRIES...
Posted by flipnile, Thu Nov-07-19 04:14 PM
...black bean dip is the shizzle. Sriracha aioli is also very tasty.

Looking for more suggestions.
13355080, i never know what to do with sweet potato fries
Posted by mista k5, Thu Nov-07-19 04:20 PM
i know when i first tried them i tried ketchup and was like eh. i dont like the taste of beans so thats a no.

im going to have to look into some options that should be common as most places dont even suggest anything when you get sweet potato fries here.
13355088, I've seen places give some kinda

13355090, there it is
Posted by mista k5, Thu Nov-07-19 04:40 PM
we have this trendy restaurant here that does that. i couldnt think of what i was offered once and it was this. yeah wouldnt do that again.
13355337, This burger spot I went to in Detriot served them with a cinnamon dip
Posted by Hitokiri, Fri Nov-08-19 03:58 PM
It was weird. Not gross. But it made them into a dessert essentially. I switched back to ketchup after a few fries.
13355079, man all of the above

I will murder a poutine

I will also do em dutch\belgian style with seasoned mayo

I rarely F with ketchup mind

but my favorite is to douse em in malt vinegar and salt.

not before or after but all interspersed with with bites of the burger/sandwich/fried fish..

oh yeah and crispy fries... ones that can stand up to the gravy or vinegar without complete loss of structural integrity.

fawk.. I might be hungry now. bastid!

>I will murder a poutine
the gravy part always kept me from diving too deep into poutine. ive came around on gravy so next time im somewhere that has poutine available i will try it.

>

tried this when i went to belgium...or maybe it was plain mayo. didnt get it. probably need to acclimate to it.

Sometimes I eat my fries straight up. No ketchup or any other sauce. Other times, I put a big pool of ketchup on the side & dip. I don't get fancy with it.

I'm one of those people that eats all of one thing and then moves on to the next. So I'll either eat all of my fries and then my burger or eat the whole burger and then the fries. There's no mixing.

I like seasoned, I like curly, I like all the different styles. But this spot around the way called the Winghouse (a Hooters knock off) has the best fries in town. They're the big steak fries but the seasoning is what makes the show.

I've never had poutine or any gravy on my fries though.
13355089, sorry reeq but we truly arent ALL on the same team.

do you take sips of your drink while you eat your food or wait until you finish all your food?

curly fries are probably my favorite. at least as the mostly likely that will be good without knowing anything about the place. good steak fries though?? those will top any other.

LMAO! I do take some sips while I'm eating. But not a whole lot. I tend to drink most of it after the meal.
13355093, chili cheese fries.

just salt, pepper and ketchup on the side
I might drizzle a little apple cider vinegar and eat whatever way you cut them...
